About the Young Professionals of San Angelo
Young Professionals of San Angelo provides career minded individuals with opportunities to develop socially, professionally, and civically. It is our belief that in this day and age people have more options than ever about where they decide to work. We know that San Angelo has to compete for young workers, and feel that if we can provide an active community for young professionals then San Angelo will be a more attractive place for new businesses to start, more graduates to stay, and more businesses to grow.
YPSA was founded in 2009, and in 2012 developed a partnership with the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce. Also, we've partnered with the Standard Times since 2011 for the annual 20 Under 40 event to help promote San Angelo's best and brightest young professionals. The 20 Under 40 event aims to recognize 20 up and coming leaders in the community who have excelled professionally as well as within the community and personally. During the event, YPSA presents a graduate scholarship to a student at Angelo State University.
YPSA has worked to recruit a strong Board of Directors that truly is the backbone of the organization. Our Board of Directors each serve on specialized committees that also include current general members. If you are interested in seeing changes or have great ideas but you are not quite ready to commit to being on the board, consider joining a committee!
We invite those 40 and under who are interesting in looking into what our organization has to offer to attend any of our great events. From monthly networking luncheons held the third Thursday of each month, to various community service, and social events, there is a place for you in YPSA. In addition, YPSA offers members the opportunity to attend Chamber of Commerce events, award an annual graduate scholarship, and participate in the Standard Times' 20 Under 40 annual honoree cerimony.

Interested in joining? You can apply for membership online. Yearly membership is $40 and it covers all YPSA events for an entire year. A portion of all membership fees go towards the YPSA scholarship fund presented to an ASU graduate student at the annual Standard Times' 20 Under 40 event.
